My Favorite Garden Hose…

just got better! I’ve posted in the past about how much I love this garden hose: Legacy HFZG550YW Flexzilla 5/8 X 50 Zilla Green Garden Hose with 3/4 GHT Ends. The Flexzilla hose is light weight, easy to coil but hard to kink, and safe for people and pets to drink from. Those who want to garden organically and are concerned that ordinary hoses deposit unwanted elements into their gardens can rest assured that the Flexzilla hoses won’t degrade into problematic chemicals that might leach into the water.

The color of the Flexzilla hose practically glows in the dark, however. Great if you want to be able to soak your containers after the sun goes down, or if you want to locate your house better when looking down from Google Earth, but maybe not as desirable when you’d prefer that a hose blend into the background. So I was thrilled to see this wonderful company has partnered with P. Allen Smith to produce a series of hoses in colors that either blend into the background or add to the garden celebration without being a “retina irritant” as Allen Smith puts it.

My goal is to ultimately have every hose on my property be one from Legacy Manufacturing.

Reason to celebrate! Not only can we get an it’s-so-bright-you’ll-never-misplace-it-again Flexzilla hose, but we can also have a soft green, brown (so why didn’t someone do THIS sooner?) or decorator blue and coral.
