Sometimes the simple things are the best things.

I went into the garden last night and asked “What’s for dinner?” The answer was summer squash (Zephyr), red noodle beans, chard and hot peppers. I added a piece of ginger root from my fridge (wish I could grow it!) along with a little walnut oil and low-sodium tamari. Stir fry for about two or three minutes and it’s a veggie dish that money can’t buy.

When vegetables are fresh from the garden, they are SO much more flavorful that keeping it simple is often the best approach.

This is the reason to grow your own veggies. Such meals have flavor that you'll never find in store-bought produce.

So tasty and satisfying. Add tofu, chicken or shrimp if you want but it's great just as a veggie dish. Crunchy and flavorful!
